Faithful Companion

I worked in veterinary medicine for 13 years ("retired" from veterinary oncology when I got pregnant this year)… I remember meeting a rep from Faithful Companion when they first came to Raleigh while I worked at a GP in Durham. From that moment I absolutely believed in what they stood for in afterlife care (so much so, I told our doctor that when Samp ever passed even if we didn’t use them as a hospital, I was definitely going to have them take care of my baby). We said goodbye to my soul dog Monday afternoon after 12 amazing years and while it was the hardest day ever, I immediately knew I wanted Faithful Companion to be his final care givers (and fortunately for me they’ve partnered with my old GP who helped him cross the rainbow bridge). Professionally and personally I will always, always support and recommend this company. Thank you for everything you do to change the afterlife care of our precious friends to be such a wholesome and kind piece of a very sad time. With love, Sampson’s family.

We had to unexpectedly put down our almost 17 year old cat, Maddie, on Saturday. Celia took such great care of her and showed us so much sympathy in this extremely difficult time. She got such great memorial items for us as well. Getting Maddie back the next day (Sunday) made the grieving process just a little bit easier. Thank you all for everything you do and all the care and compassion you showed to my sweet girl.

They were respectful, courteous, and answered all my questions with patience. They were able to provide both pick up and delivery services ($100 extra), which was appreciated. They had my little boy's remains back to me the next day.

My sweet Poncho passed away at NC State Vet Hospital and Faithful Companion partnered with them to have my little boy cremated. I received a call with the most compassionate employee asking exactly what I wanted to in terms of ink prints, paw prints, etc. All I asked extra was for someone to tell him I loved him. I was able to pick up his urn later that day and met with Brionni She is the sweetest! She asked me all about him and let me talk and cry. The keepsake gifts really helped me know that he is still with me. Brionni also sent the sweetest note to let me know he was taken care of and loved each step of the way. I cherish that little extra note more than you know, Brionni. Thank you to the Faithful Companion team for leading a very sad outcome with the utmost compassion.

I can't recommend Faithful Companion enough! Unfortunately, I recently had to make the heartbreaking decision of letting my precious guinea pig, Penny, cross the rainbow bridge. Everyone at Faithful Companion was so kind and compassionate. They were very helpful with any questions I had. Obviously, no one wants to go through this heartbreak, but I'm so pleased with the exceptional care I received from Faithful Companion. They did a fantastic job engraving the urn I selected. It looks beautiful, and it's such a beautiful memorial to my sweet girl. ❤️

We all do not want to say goodbye to our faithful friends; they are our beloved family members. They are there with us every day and greet us with excitement every single time, even if they’re having a bad day—I mean, humans don’t even do that. We had to say goodbye, for now, to our beloved Sasha of over 13 years. She was such a beautiful, loyal, caring, docile, gentle girl. I could go on and on; she was just so precious to us. After saying goodbye, as you know, it is not easy at all. We had her cremated and were told she was ready for us to come get her. As sad as that moment was, it was nice to get her home. The presentation and the packaging of our beloved family member was so nice—every detail, down to the bag she was in, the paw-printed cellophane her paw print was in, and the sticker that closed it with her name. There was also a sympathy card, grief support guide, Rainbow Bridge bookmark, and a pamphlet. The support guide was just so thoughtful, and it really captured how our furbabies impact our lives and helped explain grief. We were really wowed and felt the compassion that went into getting her back home. Her urn was so nice with her name, and her paw print was so beautiful with the added touching of her name and the heart. We have gotten paw prints from other places, and they literally just hand-wrote the name in the clay. We just wanted to say thank you for caring for our beloved Sasha with respect and compassion. Brionni and Darin So this is the kind of place that you never want to have to use but you're very thankful that they exist and provide such a beautiful and compassionate service for your soul dogs. I was an emotional wreck and barely holding myself together....but after my sweet Kitt passed, My husband reached out and spoke to Darin, who was absolutely top-notch professional, compassionate, kind and just empathetic of our loss. We took our girl later in the afternoon and was greeted by and assisted by Brionni, who took gentle care and showed the utmost respect to our treasured girl. She took amazing paw impressions of both her front feet for us... And told us that she would be sure to clean her little paws off because I told her she didn't really like things on her paws.... And that just shows the level of compassion and care they provide here for your fur babies. We actually were able to pick our girl up a few hours later and bring her home so we did not have to leave her there and that was really a special gift to us. They were not super busy that day so they definitely wanted to accommodate us wanting to bring her home as soon as possible. I never left her anywhere with anyone and I didn't want to start then and they understood that. The facility itself is absolutely beautifully maintained and so peaceful. From the entrance to the comfort room. It's actually nicer than most funeral homes I see for people... And so they should be... Our furbabies are pure goodness leaving this earth and they deserve nothing but the best. I will always be forever grateful and always recommend this location to anyone that I know that has beloved furkids. You can tell honest to God how much they absolutely care about your loss. They do everything to respect and maintain dignity as well as just show love one last time to your beloved dog or cat etc. In the comfort room they give you markers and you can actually decorate the little cardboard coffin that they put your pet on display in. I was able to write some really sweet words to her inside, and decorate the outside. They have So many amazing options for remembering your baby with various urns and glass work and jewelry. But even their most basic urn is a absolutely beautiful wooden box. That's the one I chose because I had already ordered her a custom Staffordshire Bull terrier one... But honestly the box is beautiful and I'm going to use it to store some clippings of her hair and little keepsakes inside once I move her. Thank you so much Brionni and Darin and every other person involved with caring for my sweet Kitt. Heartbroken but so thankful...you guys are the best.
